Spinosaurus Spinosaurus was a large carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period. It was one of the largest known carnivorous dinosaurs, measuring up to 18 meters (59 feet) long and weighing up to 7 tons. It had a distinctive sail on its back, formed by long neural spines that extended from its vertebrae. Its skull was long and narrow, with long, conical teeth that were well-suited for catching and eating fish. Its forelimbs were short and slender, while its hindlimbs were long and muscular. It had a long, powerful tail that it used for balance and swimming.
