Tarbosaurus Bataar 3 Tarbosaurus bataar is a species of theropod dinosaur that lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period. It was a large carnivore, measuring up to 9 meters (30 feet) in length and weighing up to 3 metric tons (3.3 short tons). It was closely related to the North American Tyrannosaurus rex, but its skull was more robust and had a more triangular shape. It is known from numerous fossil specimens, including several nearly complete skeletons.
