Darkwing Duck-TV series 3 Darkwing Duck is an American animated television series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation that ran from 1991 to 1992 on both the syndicated programming block The Disney Afternoon and Saturday mornings on ABC. The series featured the eponymous anthropomorphic duck superhero whose alter ego is mild-mannered Drake Mallard. It was created as a spin-off of DuckTales. The series ran for three seasons, totaling ninety-one episodes. The series was rerun on the Disney Afternoon block until the end of summer 1994. Reruns of the show later aired on Toon Disney, but have since been removed. The show was released on DVD in the United States on November 8, 2011.
