Dr. Katz Professional Therapist-TV series 1 Dr. Katz Professional Therapist is an American animated series that aired on Comedy Central from May 28, 1995 to December 24, 1999. The series follows the exploits of a quirky, retired psychiatrist, Dr. Katz (voiced by Jonathan Katz), who operates a therapy office out of his home. The show was created by Burbank, California-based production company Tom Snyder Productions, which later became Soup2Nuts. The show was produced by Soup2Nuts in association with Popular Arts Entertainment, and was distributed by 7ate9 Entertainment. The series won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 1995.
