Gomorrah- movie 4 Gomorrah is a 2008 Italian crime drama film directed by Matteo Garrone and based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Roberto Saviano. The film follows the story of a powerful crime syndicate in the suburbs of Naples, Italy, and its struggle for power and control. It stars Toni Servillo, Salvatore Abruzzese, Simone Sacchettino, and Gianfelice Imparato. The film was nominated for the Palme d"Or at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival and won the Grand Prix. It was also nominated for five David di Donatello awards, winning three, for Best Film, Best Actor (Servillo) and Best Supporting Actor (Abruzzese).
