Gomorrah Gommorah 2008 7 .8 Gomorrah is a 2008 Italian crime drama film directed by Matteo Garrone and based on the book of the same name by Roberto Saviano. The film follows the story of five different people living in the Neapolitan area of Campania, Italy, as they become involved in organized crime. It was the first Italian film to win the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival since Nanni Moretti"s The Son"s Room in 2001. The film also won nine David di Donatello awards, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor.
