Insomnia-TV series 2 Insomnia is a Norwegian crime drama television series created by Anne B. Ragde and produced by NRK. It was first broadcast on NRK1 in 2002 and is the sequel to the 1997 film of the same name. The series follows police detective Jonas Engström, who is sent to the small town of Kirkenes to investigate a series of murders. The series stars Trond Espen Seim, Sverre Anker Ousdal, and Agnes Kittelsen. It was followed by a third season in 2007.
