It is based on the original story by Okada and features character designs by Akihiko Yoshida. The film stars Manaka Iwami, Miyu Irino, Yōko Hikasa, Yoshimasa Hosoya, and Miyuki Sawashiro. It follows the story of a young girl named Maquia, who belongs to a clan of people who stop aging in their mid-teens and live for hundreds of years. When an army invades her homeland, Maquia is separated from her family and must find a way to survive in the world. The film was released in Japan on February 24, 2018. It was also screened at the 2018 Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
