Rectify-TV series 5 Rectify is an American drama television series that aired on the SundanceTV network from April 22, 2013, to January 26, 2018. The series was created by Ray McKinnon and stars Aden Young, Abigail Spencer, J. Smith-Cameron, Adelaide Clemens, and Clayne Crawford. It tells the story of Daniel Holden, a man who spent 19 years on death row for the rape and murder of his teenage girlfriend, only to be released when new DNA evidence casts doubt on his conviction. The series follows Daniel as he adjusts to life after his release, and the effect it has on his family and the small town in which he lives. The fifth and final season of Rectify premiered on October 26, 2017, and concluded on January 26, 2018. The season follows Daniel"s attempts to find a new life in Nashville, Tennessee, while his family and friends back in Paulie, Georgia, grapple with the aftermath of a traumatic event.
