The Gifted-TV series 4 The Gifted is an American superhero television series created for Fox by Matt Nix, based on Marvel Comics" X-Men properties. It is connected to the X-Men film series, the second television series to be so, after Legion. The series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television, with Nix serving as showrunner. The series focuses on a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The Gifted stars Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker as the parents, along with Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes White, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Emma Dumont, and Blair Redford as their children. The series premiered on October 2, 2017, and ran for two seasons, ending on February 26, 2019.
