Wastelands 2 Wasteland 2 is a post-apocalyptic role-playing video game developed by inXile Entertainment and published by Deep Silver. It is the sequel to 1988"s Wasteland, and was released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic United States in the year 2087, nearly a century after a nuclear holocaust wiped out most of civilization. Players control a squad of Desert Rangers, the successors of the original Wasteland"s Desert Rangers, as they investigate the cause of a signal broadcast from the long-abandoned city of Los Angeles. The game features a non-linear story with a variety of side-quests and multiple solutions to problems.
