Astroboy FROM Tetsuwan Atomu Tetsuwan Atomu, commonly known as Astro Boy, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. It was serialized in Shōnen from 1952 to 1968, and the series was adapted into a successful anime series that aired on Fuji TV from 1963 to 1966. The story follows the adventures of a powerful robot boy named Astro Boy, created by the head of the Ministry of Science, Doctor Tenma.
