Butters 4 Butters is a major character in the animated television series South Park. He is voiced by Matt Stone and first appeared in the show"s pilot episode, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe". He is a fourth grader in South Park Elementary. Butters is a kind, naive, optimistic, and impressionable character who is often portrayed as the show"s most innocent character. He is good-natured and is often taken advantage of by the other characters in the show. He is a good friend of Stan, Kyle, and Kenny, and is often seen with them in school and around town. He is also the only one of the four boys who is not Jewish.
