Captain Marvel is the alter ego of Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force security chief. She gained superhuman powers after being exposed to the energy of the Psyche-Magnetron, a Kree device. Her powers include flight, superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to absorb and manipulate energy. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel is portrayed by Brie Larson. She made her debut in the 2019 film Captain Marvel and will appear in the upcoming 2021 film The Marvels.
