Timon FROM The Lion King 3 Timon is a meerkat and one of the main characters in The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata (also known as The Lion King 1½). He is known for his carefree lifestyle and philosophy of "Hakuna Matata" which means "no worries". Timon is a comical character who provides much of the film"s humor. He is best friends with Pumbaa, a warthog, and together they raise Simba, the future Lion King, after finding him alone in the desert. Timon is often the brains of the duo, coming up with plans and ideas, although they often get him and Pumbaa into trouble. Despite his sometimes selfish and cowardly tendencies, Timon is ultimately loyal and brave, and he plays a key role in helping Simba reclaim his rightful place as king.
