Warriors The 1979 2 D beat-em-up arcade game Warriors was developed by Taito Corporation and was the first game to feature simultaneous two-player cooperative play. Players take on the role of two martial arts warriors, a man and a woman, as they battle their way through hordes of enemies in an attempt to rescue a princess. The game was released in arcades and was later ported to several home video game consoles.
