Zindine Zidane long ed to be a professional soccer player from a young age. He was born in Marseille, France in 1972. His parents were both immigrants from Algeria. Zidane started playing football at the age of eight and joined his first professional team, Cannes, at the age of 17. In 1996, Zidane joined Juventus, where he quickly became one of the best players in the world. He was part of the team that won the UEFA Champions League in 1996 and 1997. In 2001, he moved to Real Madrid, where he won the Champions League again in 2002. Zidane was known for his elegant style of play, technical ability, and vision. He was also known for his temper, which often led to red cards and suspensions. He was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1998, 2000, and 2003. Zidane retired from professional football in 2006, but he continued to be involved in the sport. He managed Real Madrid from 2016 to 2018, and he is currently an ambassador for the club. He also works as a consultant for the French national team.
