Rheinau Baden-Wrttemberg in Germany 3 Rheinau is a municipality in the district of Rastatt in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on the Rhine River, about 10 km (6 mi) northeast of Rastatt and 20 km (12 mi) southwest of Karlsruhe. The town is home to a castle and a monastery, both of which date back to the 16th century. The castle was built by the Margraves of Baden and the monastery was founded by the Knights of St. John.
