Saint-Cloud in France 1 Saint-Cloud is a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 9.6 km (6.0 mi) from the center of Paris. As of 2018, it had a population of 41,945. Saint-Cloud is a sub-prefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine department and the seat of the Arrondissement of Saint-Cloud. The town is known for the Château de Saint-Cloud, built by Louis XIV and destroyed by fire in 1870, and the Saint-Cloud Racecourse, a horse racing venue which previously hosted the Prix de l"Arc de Triomphe. The area is also home to the Parc des Princes, the home stadium of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club.
