Dilophosaurus 12 .8 The Dilophosaurus was a carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Early Jurassic period, about 193 to 183 million years ago. It was one of the earliest large predatory dinosaurs, and was around 6 to 7 meters (20 to 23 feet) long and weighed around 1.2 to 1.5 tonnes (1.3 to 1.7 tons). Its skull was about 60 cm (2 feet) long.
