Alcatraz-TV series 2 Alcatraz is an American science fiction/crime drama television series that aired on Fox for one season from 2012 to 2013. The series was created by Elizabeth Sarnoff, Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, and stars Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia, Sam Neill, Parminder Nagra, Santiago Cabrera, and Robert Forster. The series follows a team of FBI agents as they investigate the reappearance of several prisoners and guards from Alcatraz prison, which was shut down in 1963. The series was cancelled after one season due to low ratings.
