Tarbosaurus 4 Tarbosaurus was a large predatory dinosaur that lived in Asia during the late Cretaceous period, approximately 70 to 65 million years ago. It was a member of the tyrannosaurid family and was closely related to Tyrannosaurus rex. It was one of the largest known carnivorous dinosaurs, measuring up to 12 meters (39 feet) in length and weighing up to 6 tonnes (13,000 lbs). Tarbosaurus had a large head, powerful jaws, and sharp teeth, and was well-adapted for hunting large prey.
