Back to the Future-TV series 1 Back to the Future is an American science fiction comedy-adventure television series which aired on CBS from September 26, 1991 to December 26, 1992. The series stars Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett Brown, and Thomas F. Wilson as Biff Tannen, reprising their roles from the Back to the Future trilogy. The series follows the further adventures of Marty McFly (played by Fox) and Dr. Brown as they travel through time. The show also features new characters, such as Jennifer Parker (played by Claudia Wells), Marty"s girlfriend, and her father, Captain William "Billy" Parker (played by James Tolkan). The series also featured a number of guest stars, including Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson, Christopher Lloyd, and Thomas F. Wilson. The series was cancelled after one season due to low ratings.
