Back to the Future Part III- movie 7 Back to the Future Part III is a 1990 American science fiction comedy film and the third and final installment of the Back to the Future trilogy. The film continues immediately following Back to the Future Part II (1989), in which Marty McFly (Fox) and Dr. Emmett Brown (Lloyd) travel to the Wild West of 1885 to rescue Doc"s future son, and inadvertently disrupt the space-time continuum. The film"s plot sees Marty attempting to return to 1985 while stranded in 1885, aided by Doc and a reluctant Clara Clayton (Steenburgen). The film was a box office success, grossing over $244 million worldwide, and received generally positive reviews from critics.
