Yakuza 3 2 Yakuza 3 is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Sega for the PlayStation 3. It is the third main entry in the Yakuza series, following 2006"s Yakuza 2. The game was released in Japan and South East Asia on February 26, 2009 and in North America and Europe on March 9, 2010 and March 12, 2010, respectively. The game follows the story of Kazuma Kiryu, the main protagonist of the series, as he attempts to distance himself from the criminal underworld and start a new life. However, his plans are disrupted when the Tojo Clan, a powerful yakuza organization, is threatened by an unknown rival group. As the story progresses, Kiryu must protect the Tojo Clan and unravel the mystery behind the rival group. Gameplay in Yakuza 3 is similar to that of the previous games in the series. Players control Kiryu and can explore the city of Kamurocho, Tokyo, and the island of Okinawa. Players can interact with the environment and non-player characters, and engage in combat with enemies. The game also features minigames such as karaoke, golf, and mahjong.
