The game was released in Japan on February 16, 2012, in North America on October 23, 2012, and in Europe on November 30, 2012. The game was released for the PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, and iOS. The story follows Sigma, a young man who is kidnapped and forced to participate in a game of life and death known as the Nonary Game: Ambidex Edition. Along with eight other participants, Sigma must explore an underground facility and solve puzzles in order to escape. The game features a branching narrative and multiple endings.
