Sansha in China Sansha is a prefecture-level city in Hainan Province, China. It was established in 2012 and is the smallest prefecture-level city in China. It is located on Yongxing Island in the South China Sea and is the administrative center of the Xisha, Zhongsha, and Nansha Islands.
