Black Narcissus 9 Black Narcissus is a 1947 British drama film directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. The film stars Deborah Kerr, David Farrar, Sabu, Jean Simmons, and Flora Robson. It tells the story of a group of Anglican nuns who establish a mission in the Himalayas, and is based on the 1939 novel of the same name by Rumer Godden.
