Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein The Whole Presidential Story Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein are two of the most famous journalists in history. They are best known for their investigative reporting on the Watergate scandal, which ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974. Woodward and Bernstein"s reporting was so influential that it was the basis for the 1976 film All the President"s Men, which starred Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman as Woodward and Bernstein, respectively. The film was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won four. Woodward and Bernstein have also written several books about their experiences, including All the President"s Men and The Final Days.
