Alone in the Dark 1992 Alone in the Dark is a 1992 survival horror video game developed by Infogrames and released for MS-DOS, Macintosh, and 3DO. It is considered to be the first 3D survival horror game, and is often credited with popularizing the genre. The game follows the adventures of private investigator Edward Carnby as he investigates a mysterious mansion on the coast of New England.
