Jinka in Ethiopia Jinka is a town in southern Ethiopia, located in the Omo National Park. It is the administrative center of the Debub Omo Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region (SNNPR). It has a latitude and longitude of 6°45′N 36°43′E and an elevation of 1,875 meters above sea level. Jinka is the gateway to the Omo Valley, a region populated by many different ethnic groups. It is also the base for exploring the Mago and Omo National Parks. The town is home to the Jinka Museum, which displays artifacts from the various tribes in the area.
