Heroes of Newerth 6 Heroes of Newerth (HoN) is a free-to-play, stand-alone, multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed by S2 Games. The game was released on May 12, 2010 and is currently available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux. The game features two teams of five players each, each team occupying and defending their own separate base on the map. Players on each team choose from over 100 playable characters, known as heroes, each with their own unique design, strengths, and weaknesses.
