Argentinosaurus 2 Argentinosaurus was a massive herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now South America. It is one of the largest dinosaurs known to have existed, with estimates suggesting it could reach lengths of up to 100 feet and weigh as much as 100 tons. Despite its enormous size, Argentinosaurus was a gentle giant, feeding on plants and using its long neck to reach vegetation high off the ground. Its fossils have been found in Argentina, where it roamed the lush forests and plains of the ancient continent of Gondwana.
