Barchatus cirrhosus Barchatus cirrhosus, commonly known as the Sailfin Tang, is a species of marine ray-finned fish in the family Acanthuridae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region, from the Red Sea and East Africa to the Hawaiian Islands, and south to the Great Barrier Reef. It is a large fish, reaching up to 40 cm in length. It has a yellowish-brown body with a black spot on the upper part of the caudal fin, and a yellow dorsal fin with a black margin. It feeds on algae, plankton, and small invertebrates.
