Chaetodon collare Chaetodon collare, commonly known as the collar butterflyfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish in the family Chaetodontidae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region, ranging from the Red Sea and East Africa to the Hawaiian Islands, Line Islands, and Marquesas Islands. It is a relatively small fish, growing to a maximum length of around 8 inches (20 cm). It has a bright yellow body with a wide black band across the middle and a black spot near the tail. The dorsal and anal fins are black with yellow tips.
