Dalinghosaurus longidigitus Dalinghosaurus longidigitus is an extinct genus of ankylosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now China. It was first described in 2005 by paleontologist Lü Junchang and colleagues, based on a partial skeleton found in the Dalinghe Formation. It is the only species in the genus. Dalinghosaurus was a medium-sized ankylosaurid, measuring around 4.5 meters (15 feet) long. Its body was heavily armored, with rows of bony plates running along its sides and a tail club. It had a long, narrow skull with a pointed snout, and a pair of horns on the back of its head. Its teeth were small and conical, suggesting it was an herbivore.
