Dipturus teevani Dipturus teevani, also known as the New Zealand rough skate, is a species of skate found in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. It is a bottom-dwelling species found on the continental shelf and upper slope of New Zealand, as well as the Chatham Islands and the Lord Howe Rise. It is a large species reaching up to 1.2 m in length and is characterized by its large pectoral fins and rough skin. This species is a carnivore, feeding mainly on bony fishes, cephalopods, and crustaceans.
