Jiangxisaurus 3 Jiangxisaurus is an extinct genus of basal sauropod dinosaur from the Early Jurassic of China. It is known from a single species, Jiangxisaurus ganzhouensis, which was described in 2002. The type specimen was discovered in the Lower Lufeng Formation of Jiangxi Province, China. It is estimated to have been around 6 meters (20 feet) long. It had a long neck and tail, and its forelimbs were longer than its hindlimbs. It was likely a herbivore, and may have lived in herds.
