Priocnemis parvula 1 Priocnemis parvula, commonly known as the small-headed fly, is a species of fly in the family Dolichopodidae. It is found in Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. The adult flies are small, with a body length of about 4–6 mm. They are typically metallic green in color, with yellowish-brown legs and wings. The larvae are found in wet soil and decaying organic matter. They feed on decaying plant material and small invertebrates.
