Saurolophinae Saurolophinae is a subfamily of hadrosaurid dinosaurs that includes the genera Saurolophus, Edmontosaurus, and Prosaurolophus. They lived during the Late Cretaceous period, between about 100 and 66 million years ago, and were some of the last non-avian dinosaurs to exist before the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event. They were large herbivorous animals, with some species reaching lengths of up to 10 meters. They are known for their distinctive "crests" on their heads, which were used for display and communication.
