Sphecodes armeniacus Sphecodes armeniacus is a species of bee belonging to the family Halictidae. It is native to Armenia, where it is found in the mountains and foothills of the Lesser Caucasus. It is a small bee, measuring around 4-5mm in length. Its body is black, with yellow markings on the head and thorax. It has a short, stubby proboscis, and its wings are a dark brown color. The female has a yellow scopa on its hind legs, which it uses to collect pollen.
