Zosterops flavus 3 Zosterops flavus, also known as the yellow white-eye, is a species of bird in the family Zosteropidae. It is found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is a small bird, about 10-12 cm in length, with a distinctive yellow body and the characteristic "white-eye" ring around its eyes. Its diet mainly consists of insects and nectar. Not much is known about its breeding habits, but like other white-eyes, it is likely to be a monogamous breeder. The conservation status of the yellow white-eye is currently classified as "Least Concern" by the IUCN.
