Born on May 7, 1970, in Cambridge, England, she studied at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland before completing her education at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Saville"s works are often noted for their graphic depiction of the human form, with a particular emphasis on the female body. Her paintings often feature figures that are distorted or in states of transformation, challenging traditional beauty standards and exploring themes of physicality, sexuality, and mortality. Saville gained significant recognition in the mid-1990s when her work was included in the exhibition "Sensation: Young British Artists from the Saatchi Collection" at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. The exhibition, which also featured works by artists such as Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, was noted for its controversial and provocative content. Saville"s work has been exhibited internationally and is included in the collections of major institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Saatchi Gallery in London, and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. She continues to live and work in Oxford, England.
