Acalyptris marmor 1 Acalyptris marmor is a species of moth in the family Nepticulidae. It is found in Europe, from the Iberian Peninsula to the Caucasus. The wingspan is 6-7 mm. Adults are on wing from April to June. The larvae feed on Quercus species, including Quercus robur, Quercus cerris and Quercus ilex. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine consists of a short, full depth corridor, often in the leaf margin. The frass is deposited in a corner of the mine. The mine is often located in the distal part of the leaf. Pupation takes place outside of the mine.
