Micronecta decorata Micronecta decorata is a species of small aquatic insect in the family Corixidae, commonly known as water boatmen. It is native to Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia, and is found in still or slow-moving bodies of water such as ponds, lakes, and marshes. It is a small insect, measuring up to 5 mm in length, and has a flattened, oval-shaped body with long, thin legs. The body is usually dark brown or black, and the head and thorax are covered in small, white spots. The wings are transparent and can be used for short flights.
