It is a member of the Pseudantechinus genus, which includes six species of small, mouse-like marsupials. Pseudantechinus roryi is the smallest of the six species, measuring just 4.5 to 5.5 cm in length and weighing between 4 and 7 g. The species is greyish-brown in color, with a white underbelly and a black stripe running along its back. It has large ears and long hind legs, and its tail is almost as long as its body. It is nocturnal and feeds on insects, spiders, and other small invertebrates.
