Pseudokermes palmae 1 .5–2.0 mm Pseudokermes palmae is a species of scale insect that is found on palm trees. It is a small insect, measuring between 1.5 and 2.0 mm in length. The body is oval in shape and has a yellowish-brown coloration. It has two pairs of antennae and three pairs of legs. The female has a waxy secretion which covers her body, while the male does not. The female lays her eggs in clusters on the underside of palm leaves. The larvae feed on the sap of the leaves, causing yellow spots to appear. The adults feed on the leaves and flowers of the palm tree.
