Rhodaliidae 1 Rhodaliidae is a family of aquatic snails in the clade Caenogastropoda. It is the only family in the superfamily Truncatelloidea, and is found in freshwater habitats in Europe, Asia, and North America. The family contains more than 30 species, including the genera Rhodalia, Melanatria, and Parorisa. These snails are small, with shells ranging from 2 to 8 millimeters in length. They are usually brown or black in color, and the shells are generally smooth with a few spiral lines. They feed on algae, detritus, and other organic matter.
