The seven-shot icon of the Mother of God in an icon case was taken to the Znamensky Monastery near the town of Kirzhach, Vladimir Oblast, in the late 19th century. It is believed to have been painted in the late 17th century. The icon is painted in a traditional Russian style, with the Mother of God depicted in the center, surrounded by six other figures. On the left side of the icon are the Archangel Michael, the Prophet Elijah, and the Prophet Isaiah. On the right side are the Archangel Gabriel, the Prophet Moses, and the Prophet David. The figures are all depicted in a hieratic style, with a strong emphasis on the halos around their heads. The background of the icon is painted in a deep blue, with gold stars scattered throughout. The icon is set in an ornate wooden frame, which is decorated with carvings and gilding. The icon is believed to have been painted by an anonymous artist in the late 17th century.
