Lesna Icon of the Mother of God is a Russian Orthodox icon of the Mother of God, which is believed to have miraculous powers. It is also known as the "Joy of All Who Sorrow" icon, and is said to have been painted by the Evangelist Luke. According to tradition, the icon was painted in the first century AD, and was later discovered in the forest near the city of Lesna, in the Ukraine. The icon is said to have been found by two hunters who were lost in the forest. When they stumbled upon the icon, they were filled with joy and decided to build a chapel in its honor. The icon is a small panel painting, depicting the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus in her arms. The Virgin is depicted in a traditional Byzantine style, with a halo around her head and a blue cloak draped over her shoulders. The icon is believed to have the power to heal the sick and comfort the sorrowful. It is a popular icon in the Russian Orthodox Church, and is often found in churches and homes throughout Russia.
